Join the Easter Bunny for the City's annual Easter Egg Hunt at Millennium Park on Stackpole Road. Bring a basket or bag to help gather up all the colorful and prize-filled plastic and chocolate eggs. Rain or shine. Dress accordingly.

WHO: All Somersworth children 9 and under

WHEN: Friday, April 22nd TIME: 5:30 p.m. SHARP

COST: FREE

Age Groups are located at: 2,3 and 4 year olds - softball field

5 and 6 year olds - volleyball courts

7,8 and 9 year olds - picnic area

This is always a fun, and free event for all.  I have taken my son when he was younger and he enjoyed the time with other community members.  Be sure to get there early, space will fill up quickly!

Somersworth New Hampshire 21st annual Winterfest

The 21st annual Winterfest which is presented by the Somersworth Festival Association will be held Feb. 4-5. On Friday, Feb. 4, 7-9 p.m., dance will be held at Somersworth Middle School for grades 6-8. The event will be held at Somersworth High School Cafetorium. The cost is $6 per student and light refreshments will be available. If there is a snow day there will not be a dance. On Feb. 5 the Somersworth Festival Association will be holding Breakfast with Frosty and Frosty's Funfest. The breakfast will cost $3; breakfast sandwiches will also be available. The event is held at the Somersworth High School cafetorium, 8-11 a.m. Also in conjunction with the breakfast the festival will be hosting Frosty's Funfest. Admittance is free and the price per ticket for games is 25 cents each. They will offer lots of games, face painting and crafts and lots of prizes!!!

The Recreation Department will be hosting free sledding 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Oaks Golf Links on Route 108 in Somersworth. The Somersworth Lions Club will be hosting open skating noon-4 p.m. at the Lions Club skating rink on West High Street. Light refreshments will be available. The high school will be holding a Prom Fashion Show at 2 p.m. in the high school cafetorium. A new event this year will be a pizza tasting contest. For $5 you can taste the pizzas from the many local pizza restaurants in the area. After you have tasted the pizzas then you will be asked to vote on the one that you like the best. That pizza establishment will be presented an award for the "Voted the Best Pizza of Winterfest 2011." To end the festivities weekend the high school will be holding the Mr. Somersworth contest 7-9 p.m. in the high school cafetorium.
